Dear Sir or Madam,
version 2.6 of the DirecType® Suite sees the launch of sets for personalization styles "Image Characters", "Fill Randomly", and "Nodes and Paths". These sets enable simpler job processing, and include images suitable for use as image characters, filling elements and node definitions. This makes usage of the software easier in a number of different ways:
- Image characters, filling elements and node definitions can be transferred easily from one motif to another. A tutorial explaining this process is included in this newsletter.
- Set administration occurs both clearly and intuitively via the library window and the relevant setup window.
- Sets only need to be loaded into the motif once, and can then be used in any number of personalizations within the motif.
- In the case of multiple personalizations in particular, both the required amount of working memory and size of the motif file are reduced.
- Motif development is simplified, as new sets can be loaded into the motif without overwriting previous sets. This facilitates quick, direct comparisons between old and new versions of image characters or filling elements.
|
What is more, motif sets make it possible to create another
interesting personalization. For example, the loading of an image
character set in the "Fill Randomly" personalization
style creates an "A" filled with small "A"
images, a "B" filled with small "B" images and
so on.

The setup window for the image character set is used to export the image character set.
|
 |
The image character set is now to be used in a new motif. The first step is to load a new background image.
|
 |
The saved set is imported using the setup window for the image character set. The set loaded requires activation in the image character setup window.
|
 |
The personalization grid will now be adjusted to the motif. You're good to go!
